US Marshals Arrest Teenage Fugitive In Fatal South Jersey Home Invasion Shooting: Prosecutor

An 18-year-old South Jersey man has been arrested in a fatal home invasion shooting, authorities said.

Joshua Johnson, 18, of Camden was captured in Newark on Wednesday by the U.S. Marshals Regional Task Force, according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Pennsauken Police Chief Philip Olivo. 

Johnson has been charged with first-degree murder and other offenses in the death of 62-year-old Darlene Randall in Pennsauken Sunday morning, they said.

Police responded to the 3700 block of Herbert Avenue at 1:52 a.m. for reports of a home invasion. Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. She succumbed to her injuries a short time later at the hospital.

Johnson was transferred to Camden County where he was processed on the above charges and remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing before the Court.
